Tom Harrison - Regional Sales Director (Scotland & North England)

When it comes to seeing the world through the eyes of our customer, Tom Harrison is passionate about leading this insight within Jewson Civils Frazer. Starting out his career as a graduate management trainee with Wolseley UK, Tom has seen this industry from every perspective and today, as regional sales director for Scotland and the North of England, he is empowering his own team to create a customer experience that will propel Jewson Civils Frazer towards a number one position.  

Tom explains why the business is so focused on every detail of the customer journey: “To really expand on this I need to give some context which comes from my own career experience.  Like many, I landed in the merchanting sector by accident working in a timber mill in Dinnington.  I loved working in a busy yard environment; the banter, winning orders getting to meet new people, learning about a new industry.  I knew it was the right thing for me. Throughout my career I have made some real friends, both customers and colleagues and enjoy helping customer’s businesses thrive.

“Fast forward to my role today, I’m incredibly lucky to work in a business that shares my personal values but of equal importance, is the speed in which we can make decisions. The culture of this business is fresh and energetic, and with that comes a high degree of autonomy to get the job done. Putting the customer at the centre of those values is an incredibly powerful mix.  We continuously reinforce to all our team members that we are only as good as our last customer interaction and this is ultimately how we will be judged – by doing the basics better, the results will follow.
